The kellys - webisodes

in 2001 i worked on a project called NASCAR the Kellys. We used lightwave to create cel style props and sets for a web series that was hand animated in flash. I worked mostly on the first few episodes.

My role was building out the sets and props - the most prominent being the race track and all the assets of the racetrack.
Oddly enough I was in los angeles at the time and this was the project I was working on when the 9/11 twin tower disaster occurred.
Lightwave again was used to create very nice cel art - Here are some of the dope sheets i created to approve the assets, my own format.

Some of the assets were found on the internet and tweaked into cel shaded look. No surfaces were left original.

I basically learned how to reduce poly counts with these objects so that they looked more cel shaded.

even in lightwave 6 the cel edges were very robust in what you could select and not select.
