Hero fights a dragon in daz

A hero fights a dragon. I love how posable things are in daz! I'm spending more time making posing decisions and not wrestling with how to rig the characters which. This lets me be more creative. Frustration is something every artist deals with - Your more apt to be frustrated if your spending 80% of your time wrestling with the software to try to get "the right pose". Fortunately, daz seems to be pretty straight forward with how you move and position stuff.

Post effects - I rely on fusion for all the color correction, smoke, flares, and fire to be added after the fact. I don't try to do it all inside of daz. This way I can get a lot of the atmospherics generated using masks and in a quick manner.

Lighting - dynamic lighting is always important in scenes like this - and i used spot lights on the dragon and the hero while only using a dim distant light to bring up the bg.

layout - One of my strong points is general CG layout of assets. IN this case we have only 3 assets - the dragon, the hero and the set. Daz had a great rig for the dragon allowing me to get a quick pose that was dynamic enough for the shot.
