Being a 3d generalist means assets are handed to you and you have to compose and light and handle them in such a way that shots get created that look great. I've found a few assets online, regula the space station from star trek 2, The moon (high detailed in fact), and the construction rig.
Put it all together and you start to get some scenes youv'e never seen before.
Post work is always done in fusion - Color Correction, glow, blur, grain. These help to push CGI sharp output into the realm of film look.
We are at level one here with just composition and very little tweaks to the models (some surfacing tweaks though)
- next levels are 1) lighting upgrade with flares all over the station 2) substance painter pass
