My Korean Hibiscus in pencil

I have a drawing group every Friday, and we call it the artist challenge group.

The challenge this week was the National flower of the Korean - a pink hibiscus flower.

Total time to outline and color in was 1 hour. (the length of the group)

Reference was a photo found on google.

while most of my work is cgi, i am learning to draw traditionally with pencils much better... not every cg artist is a pencil artist but it helps as sketching out blocking is a quick way to dial in what you want your shots to look like.

I think i'm getting better at pencil drawings. It came out well enough that I feel good about sharing it on artstation.
