Curse of the Phantom Shadow is an ongoing project i've been working nites on. This sequence starts in a castle, i had to come up with a dark moody lighting scenario, add torches to liven the single frames in a compositing program (fusion), and add gun shot flares and smoke and hits. The whole sequence took a month of working on it on and off every week. Used lightwave for layout and lighting only as the models already existed. Some surfacing but not much mostly lighting and matching the camera to the live action. When doing live action greenscreen replacements you usually have an on set supervisor who's job is to gather all the info for CG artists. Unfortunately, there was zero info and I had to guess the big three - camera height, camera angle, and camera focal length. We did have some constraints like knowing the minimum the camera could go was 15mm so my camera lens was never smaller than that. but thats not much to go on.
The scene looks good meaning i did a good job.
